Story
In 1879, Achille Bertelli embarked on a journey from Italy with the ambitious project of formulating products for people’s well-being. His goal was to utilize the natural molecules with physiological effects found in plants characteristic of the Mediterranean Diet, concentrating them effectively to prevent diseases. Establishing the first laboratory in San Francisco, he became known for “Bertelli’s Catramin Pills,” a product based on natural molecules, particularly effective in preventing seasonal disorders.
Since then, research on natural molecules in the Mediterranean Diet has continued to progress. In 2006, Dr. Matteo Bertelli founded a spin-off company dedicated to researching the preventive effects of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) associated with the Mediterranean diet.
The inspiration to scientifically investigate the reasons behind these preventive effects led to a series of studies and research conducted since 2006. These efforts materialized in the development of genomic, metabolomic, and proteomic tests, aimed at identifying biochemical pathways in the body subject to alterations and in need of modulation. Matteo Bertelli is a specialist in Molecular Genetics who has dedicated years to research in omics sciences for personalized diet. With a strong background in genetics and personalized medicine, he has delved into the application of multi-omic information to tailor diet and lifestyle for the promotion of health and disease prevention. His interest extends beyond conditions of nutritional deficiency to those characterized by increased demand, found in Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) such as obesity, lymphedema, lipedema, and cardiovascular diseases, or in physiological conditions such as aging and physical activity.

Kevin Donato holds a master’s degree in Chemistry and possesses a particular interest in patent development to maximize the utilization of natural molecules. Pietro Chiurazzi, MD, PhD – RESEARCHER
Associate Professor of Medical Genetics at the Institute of Genomic Medicine of the Catholic University School of Medicine, Rome since November 2005. He graduated in Medicine in 1992 with an experimental thesis on Fragile X syndrome. In 1996 he became Specialist in Medical Genetics and in 2001 obtained his Ph.D. in Genetics at the Erasmus University (Rotterdam).

Stephen Thaddeus Connelly, MD, PhD - RESEARCHER
Dr. Connelly is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, a Professor at the University of California San Francisco; Co-founder of Boutique Venture Partners (www.boutiquevc.com) a healthcare focused venture capital firm located in Palo Alto, California and head of a health care consumer products company. He obtained a DDS from Columbia University in New York, completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of California where he obtained an MD and a PhD in Craniofacial Sciences. Works for Inflammation! I've been suffering with leg swelling and inflammation from lymphedema for a few years now. I had to go to a lymphedema specialist, spent a couple thousand on wraps 3 times a week, expensive lymphedema stockings, all to decrease the pain and swelling and keep it at bay. Even with the stockings, after working my 10 hour shift I would struggle with leg swelling and redness. I was searching the web for inflammation diets, foods or supplements, anything that would help and ran across an article about inflammation that caught my attention. It was a medical peer-reviewed research article with several physicians as content contributors. One small little blurb mentioned lab mice had shown inflammation improvement when given Garlive. That was all it said, nothing more. I thought what the heck, let me see what this stuff is. I found it on Amazon, read the ingredients and figured I had nothing to lose. I bought it and took 1 tablet a day for 30 days. I changed absolutely nothing else in my diet. I eat fruits and veggies periodically but by no means is my diet what I would consider a healthy one. That said, about 1 week after taking Garlive I noticed an improvement in the redness in my legs and less swelling. I've been taking it for a month and I have days where I can go without my lymphedema stockings with no issue. My legs are still pink in color but not red and they don't hurt anymore. Fluke? Maybe. But I'm not going to argue with something that has been working. I will be buying it again. I just wish I'd have thought to take some before and after pics.
Great immune system boost! This supplement is a great immune system boost. It has hydroxytyrosol that comes from olive trees and vitamins. Which is a key ingredient to help support a healthy immune system. I've seen a little bit of an improvement so far in my immune system. I'm not having a lot of issues that I had in the past. I specifically ordered this to help keep my immune system healthy; since I do battle with CHF. And I've been really fortunate to be able to stay healthier by using supplements such as these. Even though I can't guarantee everybody will have the same results, I think it's worth giving this one a try. As of now, I have experienced no negative side effects.
I took this vitamin independently (without other vitamins or supplements). It contains vitamins: C, D,B1, B6, B12, Folic Acid, and olive leaf extract. I’m careful with products containing vitamins D,E,A or K because what the body doesn’t use is stored in fat tissue, which can build up and cause toxicity. The amount of D in this product is 25mcg or 120% of the recommended daily allowance. I like the fact that the dose is just one tablet. They are fairly large: 3/4” long and 1/4” wide (or 2cm x 0.6cm) but I had no trouble swallowing them. They do seem to support the body’s ability to fight and recover from illness. Good product!

I love the quality of this product and how quickly it works. Supporting your lymphatic system is extremely important as this is the system that helps to remove toxins from your body. I really like the effect that this product had on me. And I did feel a lot less tension in my arms and my legs due to poor circulation concerns.
